On August 14, Wang Guosheng, secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, came to the Funik Ultrahard Material Industrial Park for research. In the course of the research, Wang Guosheng kindly asked about the impact of Sino-US trade frictions on the company's operation and sales. Li Hexin, chairman of the board, said: Superhard materials and superhard tools belong to the category of US tariff-raising products. Although some foreign customers demand lower purchase prices because of higher tariffs in the United States, the company ensures that its products have higher added value through its brand advantages, technological advantages and strong innovation and research and development capabilities accumulated over the years, and it has achieved a strong degree of customer dependence on products, so Sino-US trade frictions have little impact on the overall sales of the company's products. Sino-US trade friction is both a challenge and an opportunity. Domestic users, who currently use American products, begin to actively seek import alternatives in order to reduce production costs, which also brings new opportunities for Funik to expand sales.

In recent years, relying on many years of technical accumulation and high-level technical R & D team, and making use of the advantage of industry-university-research cooperation, the company has made technological breakthroughs in high-performance boron nitride polycrystalline composites and large-diameter diamond PCD compact. While the performance of the products is better than that of similar foreign products, the cost of the products is less than 1/5 of that of foreign products, and the cost efficiency of the products is much better than that of products from several foreign competitors of world’s top 500 companies. In addition to a large number of alternative imports, the products have successfully entered the markets of Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea.

Wang Guosheng highly affirmed and recognized the company's response and technological R & D capability in Sino-US trade frictions. Subsequently, Wang Guosheng also made a detailed understanding and attention on the difficulties in the current operation of the company. He encouraged Funik to continue to strengthen independent innovation, master core technology, and promote the transformation of enterprises from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing.
